Independent desktop tools for posture feedback and focus.
Posture Pilot and Deep Focus explore how software can help people notice their habits while working at a computer.

The problem
Long periods at a computer make it easy to lose track of how we sit and where our attention goes. I founded TechNest Ventures to explore desktop tools that make those patterns easier to notice.
My contribution
I define the product ideas and develop the desktop applications, including their interfaces and the feedback they give users. These are independent projects built around problems I have encountered in my own work.
Posture Pilot
Posture Pilot is an Electron application using camera-based pose estimation to provide visual feedback and desktop notifications. I built a limited MVP and used it myself.
The difficult product question is when feedback is useful. Camera comfort, recalibration, and ordinary movements such as looking down to read can affect the experience. The prototype does not establish clinical accuracy or health outcomes.
Deep Focus
Deep Focus is an Electron and TypeScript desktop project for understanding computer activity and focus. Its repository documents productivity labeling, activity summaries, and a macOS release workflow.
An implementation and release workflow exist, but they do not establish current download availability, reliability on a new machine, or sustained use by other people. Those are separate validation steps.
What I’m learning
Collecting a signal is easier than deciding when to interrupt someone. These projects let me explore that tradeoff through software I can use myself. Wider usefulness still depends on feedback from other users and evidence that the tools remain helpful over time.
